Great Food, Fair Prices. Chef/Owner Gabriel makes great food and charges a good price. If you are stopping in for July at a can of soda or a bag of chips, the prices maybe a little steep because you are out in the middle of nowhere. If you do stop in for an awesome sandwich, great burger, or tasty pizza, you are in for a treat. My favorite item is the Jalepeno Ruben on ciabatta roll. They also make fresh Baklava daily, as well other yummy treats.

Wow! What a find. Amazing food. Casual atmosphere. What a great place. We had the gyro and a burger. Everything beautifully prepared. Small place only about 10 tables but you can eat at the bar. The owner Gabriel is hospitable and entertaining. They are open Wednesday to Sunday. Stop by. You will be glad you did.

We were on the deck in the sunshine today...butterflies, creek in the background, tall trees...oh, and the food was awesome too!

Accidentally went into this place to grab a burger, which I figured was a safe choice, for a place on the road (Hgwy 6). Walked in and there on the counter, out of the oven, was a tray of baklava. My friend and I ended up having fabulous homemade minestrone, some manaeesh (tomatoes, herbs, inside pizza-type dough) and a Reuben. All was delish. Took some baklava home - HEAVEN! Flaky, not greasy, lightly sweetened, a joy to the mouth! Clean, spacious, nice ambiance, friendly waiter. I see from the pics below that they have wine pairings. I will definitely try that soon.

This place is a hidden gym with a top notch European chef. Worth going out of your way for. Espcecially when it's nice out and you can sit on the deck.

Mom & pop business with excellent food! We showed up for a late lunch on a Saturday. Walked in & were told to sit anywhere so we grabbed a two top by the window. The seating area is kinda narrow & "cozy". Within a minute our table was wiped off and we were given menus and silverware. They have a very extensive beer & wine menu. I believe the beer is all bottled. I ordered the buffalo burger with salad. My other half ordered the zucchini ribbon pasta with Mac nut cream sauce, which is not on the web menu, with salad. The side salads were fresh greens with halved cherry tomatoes, olives, onions, and feta. We both had blue cheese dressing which appeared to be made from scratch with large chunks of cheese. The buffalo burger patty was thin but juicy. The bun was a light & fluffy ciabatta type. Super tasty! The pasta included veggies, mushrooms and lots of roasted garlic and amazing sauce. Two home runs! We paid at the front counter & grabbed some of their homemade baklava to go. Overall just a really great experience! I'll give them 4.9 stars... docked .1 for the smell of the bathroom hand soap.

I am torn on how many stars. The food was excellent and I would love to try it again. The service left a lot to be desired. They weren't busy so we got sat right away, I ordered an entree and my partner ordered a sandwich. The waitress asked me what kind of dressing I wanted with my salad, not if I wanted a salad or would like to add a salad to my meal but what dressing I wanted; as if it came with the meal. So when I got the check and was charged for the salad I was disappointed; the food is good and I don't mind paying for good food but it is overpriced on top of that my check was charged a dollar more for my entree than the menu stated. I had to ask for bread which came with the meal but it was cold in the middle and pretty dry like it had been frozen or refrigerated then reheated. Up until this point the service had been fairly good but once our salad was out and I had to ask for the bread it went down hill. It's not like they got any busier, she never checked on us after dropping off our entrees. And I had to request the check and take it to the register to pay. I only live a few miles away so I'll try it again and hope things go better. I'd like for this to someplace I can go to on a regular basis. If I return I will update my review.

Stopped on the way to a tillamook campground to get change cash for firewood across the street and a bottle of water...VERY pleasantly surprised to find an amply stocked wine/beer cooler, classy snacks, freshly baked baklava and an impressive menus for being in the woods ;-). Came back for breakfast the next day. I had biscuits and gravy ( smoky paprika sausage gravy with a hearty side of fruit) and my partner had steak and eggs which wasn't even on the menu but the kitchen whipped up for us at the request. Service was friendly and prompt.. Met us at the table with tasty coffee too! I can't speak for dinner but for a hearty breakfast this is the place to go in the area.

Along a creek, tucked away in a little off the road 'building' lies Aza Blue and chef, Gabriel, amongst a handful of wineries. When you walk in you can immediately take in the aroma of baked breads, and spices soon to be at our table. After a lovely greeting, we chose our seat and were told that he would prepare us something special. (thank you Willamette Valley Vineyard for this lead). With the pop of a cork and a lovely pink sparkling glass, a lovely 2 hour lunch ensued. You can immediately tell this lovely french accented/ italian blended chef was going to take us on a lovely ride of taste and experience. Both our dishes yummy, including dessert...I could go into detail, but I would trust anything out of this kitchen. While the company I was keeping was key, The lovely atmosphere and personal service (more european in nature) created by Gabriel's style is little known in even high-end restaurants in PDX. He gets it! Do yourself a favor and make a day trip of a little wine tasting and OAB.See you soon G. They also provide catering, and I would bet on this one.

Ugh. This place is a serious train wreck of an identity crisis. Stopped on our way to the coast for dinner... Their neon signs out front shout "burgers! Sandwiches! Market!" and when you enter it feels like the old bait & switch... We were whisked to a table alllll the way in the back of the restaurant, given dinner menus (no burgers, no sandwiches) and no one came back to our table for a good 8-10 minutes. Sorry, but if as a server, you're totally weeded with your 4 tables, a bit of advice to you is NOT to seat a table as far away as you can possibly seat them. More steps equals more work. Ok, so we have a dinner menu with $18-$24 entree choices, no beer list, no wine list, no explanation of whether they actually have burgers & sandwiches or if that's only at lunch time. ?? When someone finally comes back to our table, it's a sweaty, huffy guy who seems exasperated when we ask for a drink list. Turns out it's only for wine and he tells us "you'll have to get up and look in the cooler for which beers we have." Are you kidding me???! That's all fine and good if you're a sandwich market but if you are trying to sell $20 dinners, provide $20 service as well. Totally rude. When I uneasily said "maybe we should go somewhere else..." the sweaty huffy guy said "fair enough" and stormed off. Their breads looked delicious but the menu was not at all what was advertised out front. My husband and I have years of experience in food service and everything about our brief experience here shouted of rude, amateur restauranteurs. They would do better by being less rude to first time diners and maybe narrowing their focus a bit... Catering to the dinner/wine crowd is great, but let your outdoor signage reflect that. And print a beer list for god's sake.

I've always wanted to stop in and try some of their legendary food, but never got the chance until now. They offer a lot of choices for lunch including some mediteranean favorites. I opted for the gourmet burger with choice of cheese and a house made salad with dressing made on site. They also offer chips made on site. The wait was about 20 minutes. They do get busy for a place that is on the way to the coast. I really like the food and it was worth the wait. The price was $9.00 for a 1/3 pound burger on a chiabatta type bun with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and house sauce. They also have wines and local and organic products. The iinterior is very nice and clean. I will go back.

If you are in the area this is by far the best place to eat! I have tried a few of the pizza's and the gyro. The chef knows what he is doing and is creative. The food is fresh and the wine selection is plentiful. I will continue to be a repeat customer - when I am in the area of course :-)

I was taken here by a good friend because she heard about the amazing hummus and great wine. I was a little surprised to find such a gem of a restaurant off the highway to the beach.. this place did not disappoint. We arrived kind of late and the owner was very cordial and welcoming to us. He defiantly has a way with the ladies if you know what I mean. ;) Everything is prepared fresh and is so healthy it won't put any junk in your trunk! Eat here.

This place rocks! The mister and I stopped in on our way out to Pacific City last summer. The owner was so awesome - he talked to me in depth about some of the wines they carried (they have a selection far beyond what you expect for a semi-rural side of the road market), and I feel like he even let me a taste a couple? I got a couple of bottles - good wine at reasonable prices. We both ordered mushroom burgers, which turned out to be fantastic, and he told us that we could open and drink with our lunch the wine and beer that we had bought. How cool is that! So of course we took advantage, and it was the perfect start to a marvelous holiday weekend. Out Aza Blue: exceptional service, terrific food, and an outstanding selection of gourmet provisions.

Unpretentious looking from the outside and equally unpretentious on the inside. This "market" is a hidden gem along Hwy 6 headed to the coast. Without a doubt the best meal that my wife and I have ever had together. Hands down. The chef set a new and very high bar of expectation for future eateries to beat! Can't recommend the food any higher.

This place is fabulous! The owner makes the best hummus a girl could ask for. The wine selection is amazing! I heard about this place from a friend at school, and my goodness, she is right about how delicious it is. The dressing on the salad satisfied all of my taste buds. Some gentlemen were there getting a pizza to go, and that looked delicious as well. I strongly recommend giving this place a shot. If you are headed to the beach, make a stop either on the way there or back. Or if you just want a good meal in the woods, it really isn't to far out of town. Next I plan to try their breakfast, as the menu items looked great.

This gem on off of highway 6 is easy to miss. Don't!! Stop in for the baklava or fresh baked fococcia bread, or better yet take the time for a meal. Everything I have tried has been skillfully prepared - highly recommend the smoked trout and the sirloin, which is a very generous cut cooked to perfection with carmeled onions and mushrooms to compliment. Stop! You won't regret.

This is a really undiscovered place. Nice menu, good wine list. Check it out for lunch or dinner on your way to or from the coast.

On the recommendation of a friend, we decided to try a Friday night dinner there. We each started with a side salad. It had what they called a strawberry vinaigrette dressing. I thought it was reasonably good, the lettuce was fresh assorted greens and had various vegetables in it (tomatos, olives, bell pepper, etc). However, it was a tad spicy (more dijon than strawberry), and my wife (who normally loves berry vinaigrettes) couldn't eat more than a bite or two. I wound up eating her salad. I ordered the braised salmon. It was not filleted very well (I picked out at least 15 bones), but cooked very nicely and was reasonably flavorful. But instead of being garnished with wild flowers it was sprinkled with flamed-till-charcoal green onions. Crisp, but much more char than onion. Garnish aside, it was a good dish. My wife ordered the Aza Chicken Supreme which came stuffed with salami (not bacon), herbs, and cheese. It was flavorful, but slightly overcooked and we agreed it was "okay" but we've done far better at home ourselves. She wound up eating half my fish and I took half her chicken. Everything there had somewhat of a spicy "warmth" but wasn't particularly flavorful. Perhaps that's just what "mediterranean" style means? The bread was fantastic--this was the best part of the meal in our opinion. It was very fresh, and wonderfully light and fluffy. In fact, we took home a four-pack. The service was a bit slow and a little scatterbrained. It took until we were done with our salads (and the spicy vinaigrette dressing was burning at that point) for her to bring us water. The staff was nice, friendly. All in all, it was a "decent" meal, but with all of the higher-tier bistro style restaurants now popping up in Forest Grove (only 12 minutes up the road), we will probably choose to remain in town when we want to go out for great food. When considering very-rural (i.e. zero cell service) "stops off the highway" Out Aza Blue is pretty decent food and I would recommend it if you're driving by anyway. But I can't say it was worth driving out from Forest Grove when comparing the food to some of the places in town.

We love this place. Gabriel remembers what we like each time we come in. The 3rd Sunday wine pairing dinner is not to be missed. Gabriel makes the best pizza for miles around...skip pizza hut and come here.

What a hidden gem. I have driven by this place a hundred times and always wondered about the "burger" and "pizza" that the neon sign advertises. I finally decided to stop and what a surprise. It was very welcoming with a wonderful atmosphere. Food was great and the service was even better. Whether you are looking for a quick drink and energy bar to go or for a nice sit down meal, this place has it all. Good beers on tap and amazing desserts. The buttermilk peach cobbler was insanely good!!

Just finished the March 2015 wine pairing. I will add pictures after the review. Gabriel always has a delicious menu paired with tasty wine. We go with family and dining at his Restuarant is like eating at a friends. His team is top notch providing excellent service and the food is always creative, well presented and a delight to eat. This is always the highlight of our trip. Well done!

An executive chef opens in the most uncommon place. You can actually zoom right by and not know it is there. My wife was told about it by a co-worker so we went out to try it. Very nice! An old house converted with a showcase of scones and baked goods when you enter. Take some to go.

I went here with my sweetie and his 8- year olds, and the smell and sight of freshly made baklava and bread greeted us. Although they are open until 9p, unbeknownst to us, they stop seating at 8p. When we walked in 15 min past, the lovely hostess let us know they had just shut down the grill but could make us a pizza or burger. We had a wonderful club salad with excellent bleu cheese dressing full of chunks and topped with yet more. Soooo yummy! We shared an all meat pizza which was pretty good but not great. It was most interesting, made with bacon and buffalo, along with the expected sausage, salami, and pepperoni . Would go back for more of that salad! As we were leaving, we were discussing the baklava-- a dessert which I've tried to like, but never have managed--and the kind hostess/ owner said that people who don't normally care for baklava, like hers. She sent us home with a piece wrapped in foil. She's right!! It's really great! But the baklava!! I'll go back for that too-- and even the grill is open, we will try something else. A happy discovery off the beaten path!

My wife and I were on our way to Pacific City on Friday 9/12/14. It was around 2 pm and we had not eaten lunch yet. We saw this place and stopped. We are so glad we did. The food was wonderful. I had a AZA Hell Burger and I've never had any place put the Jalapenos in the cheese as this place did. I'm not sure how they were cooked but the jalapenos, cheese, and sauteed onions were delicious. The burger was on a fresh made Ciabatta bun and topped with fresh lettuce and the best tomatoes I've ever seen served in a restaurant. Mine came with potato wedges and I'm pretty sure they were grilled. They had some amazing seasoning on them. My wife had the AZA Sandwich builder. She had roast beef. It was also on a fresh made Ciabatta bun and had the same lettuce and tomatoes. She had a side salad and I'm not sure what dressing but she was raving about how great it was. She is a very picky person on salad dressing. On the way out we got a Chocolate Coconut Macaroon, a regular one, and a piece of Baklava. They were very good and fresh made. My wife eats Baklava a lot and said she has never had a piece so fresh and she really enjoyed it. This is great place to stop or drive to if you want something fresh and a little different from normal restaurants. Our total meal with the deserts came out to $26.00. Great price and Great Food.

Food tasted really good. Steak was a tad over cooked and was a bit thin but great flavor. Pizza was great. Lasagna wasn't really lasagna, was more like baked ziti type dish but tasted good. Bread was yummy. Chocolate Carmel cheesecake was great and the baklava was awesome. Prices a bit steep for portion sizes but liked all of the food. Waitress was a bit abrupt but the man working was quite friendly.

Great Gyro! The four plates we got were all very high quality; delicious, healthy and satisfying. Serve was fast and with a smile. Atmosphere was a pleasant surprise.
